JT COLLECTION

Inspired by East London boy John 'the Bootleg Swimmer' Trudgen (1852-1902) whose swimming journey took him from Poplar to Buenos Aires and back again.

Johnny moved to Argentina when he was 11 where he bootlegged an overarm stroke the local kids were swimming.  Back in the UK and armed with his new technique he swam in a championship at Lambeth Baths in 1873 whilst everyone else still swimming breaststroke.  It revolutionised  competitive swimming at the time and 'the Trudgen' evolved into the stroke we call freestyle today.

True OG right there.
